ZINGA® is a one-pack film galvanising system — 96% zinc in the dry film — delivering active cathodic and passive corrosion protection. Brushed, rolled or sprayed, on site or in the shop, across the most aggressive C5 / C5-M environments.
ZINGA is a film galvanising system: a one-component, zinc-rich coating with 96% zinc in its dry film. Because the zinc loading exceeds the critical pigment volume concentration, the film stays electrically conductive — so the zinc protects the steel cathodically, exactly as hot-dip galvanising does, while also forming a passive barrier.
Developed at the University of Ghent in the 1970s, ZINGA works as a stand-alone alternative to hot-dip galvanising or metallising, as the active primer in a duplex system, and as the ideal way to repair and recharge damaged HDG on site.
It applies by brush, roller or spray onto clean, blast-prepared steel, cures fast, and uses high-purity, non-toxic zinc — with unlimited shelf life and no pot-life waste once the tin is opened.
Ageing infrastructure, long coastlines and an accelerating build-out across power, ports, rail and renewables — all in punishing corrosion environments. ZINGA is engineered for exactly this.
Full cathodic protection keeps steel maintenance-free for decades — recharge-able indefinitely rather than stripped and re-coated.
Higher material cost is repaid by faster, single-system application — less labour, less scaffolding time, fewer coats.
The product the market lacks: cold galvanising that remediates hot-dip defects on site — without re-shipping to the galvaniser.
A single coating reaches C5 / C5-M instead of stacking primer, intermediate and topcoat from a multi-product paint system.
Unlimited shelf life and re-usable opened tins — no write-offs, no time pressure once a can is broken into.
High-purity zinc with no toxic elements — aligned with lifespan-extension and sustainability priorities on modern projects.
From transmission towers and substation steel to rail catenary, tank farms and solar trackers — ZINGA goes where the corrosion bill is highest and downtime is least tolerated.
The ZINGA film galvanising system pairs an active zinc base coat with sealers and topcoats for a tailored duplex build — from stand-alone protection to the toughest C5-M specification.
The heart of the system: a single-pack zinc-rich coating supplied in 0.5 kg, 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 25 kg packs. Stirred, decanted and applied — no mixing ratios, no induction time, no pot life.
Stand-alone on industrial steel, the active primer in a duplex build, or the on-site solution to repair and recharge hot-dip galvanising.
The 96% zinc one-pack base coat — active cathodic protection, stand-alone or as a duplex primer.
ZINGA in a 500 g aerosol for fast touch-up, repair and small-area galvanising in the field.
Zinc-aluminium film galvanising variant for active cathodic protection with an aluminium character.
Tar-free barrier topcoat for the duplex system — the route under evaluation for SOC pipework.
Micaceous-iron-oxide aluminium topcoat for a tight barrier film and a shiny aluminium finish.
High-solids ceramic-epoxy sealer for added chemical and abrasion resistance over ZINGA.
ZINGA as the active galvanic base coat, paired with a sealer or topcoat as the passive barrier, delivers the highest durability ratings in ISO 12944 — the combination specified for the toughest coastal and industrial assets.

A specifier’s shorthand — full method statements, DFT tables and surface-preparation grades are issued per project on request.
Abrasive blast-clean to Sa 2½ with a rough profile — the substrate that lets ZINGA bond and conduct.
Brush, roller or spray the zinc base coat to the specified dry film thickness, in shop or in the field.
Add a sealer or topcoat for a duplex barrier where the environment or aesthetic demands it.
Top up locally over the asset’s life — no stripping, no full re-coat, no return to the galvaniser.
